Can I dogfight my friends?

Sure can. The flight simulators can be connected so you are all in the same airspace.

Dogfighting is more difficult than it looks so you'll need some flying practice at the start of your session to increase your chances of success. A 60 minute or longer session is recommended.

You need to request a 'dogfight with friends' session when you book so we can have it set up and ready to go when you arrive.

Are there any weight limits?

Yes. To ensure that our equipment and customers are kept safe, there is a weight limit of 115kg. You must also be able to climb into and fit in the cockpit. The Motion Simulator cockpit is a tight fit just like the real thing, but the Static Simulators are a little more roomy for those who aren’t built like a fighter pilot.

Is the Full Motion Flight Simulator violent?

The Motion Simulator has been set up to optimise what your senses need to make the motion appear to match what you see. This means it moves enough to trick your brain without making you feel uncomfortable.

However if you crash or have a wing shot off, the cockpit will move more agressively which is why you'll be strapped in. If you prefer, we can stop a crash by ejecting you or using the panic button to stop the flight, but crashing is quite exciting in our opinion!

Will I get motion sickness?

If you get travel sickness on a winding car trip or normal flight, you may feel queasy.

Taking a Sea Legs tablet or similar before your flight will prevent you feeling unwell and we'll explain how to avoid it becoming a problem before you start your session.

I’ve never flown a plane before. How will I know what to do?

Our instructors are experts at flying all the aircraft in the flight simulators. They will guide you every step of the way with simple instructions that are easy to follow. They can also remotely help with some of the controls if need be.

How much is a group session or event?

This all depends on what you want to do, for how long, and with how many people. You are best to call or email us with your details and we’ll send you a brochure and quote.

Is there an age limit?

Yes there is. We restrict flights to 14 years and over to ensure a correct fit in the cockpit and also the maturity to follow complex instructions. There is no upper limit, pilots just need to be able bodied enough to climb into the cockpits. If you have a mature young person who meets the physical requirements we may make an exception. Please contact us to discuss.

What do I wear?

Comfortable, practical clothing is most suitable for climbing in and out of the cockpits, and covered shoes are best. Because the flight simulators are situated in an aircraft hangar it gets cold in winter and hot in the summer so please come prepared with a warm jacket or light clothing depending on the season.
